Do you integrate with QuickBooks?
Yes, starting with version 1.19, Intelligent Trucking Solution (I.T.S.) does integrate with Quickbooks 2003 and newer. The online help manual has detail instructions on how to integrate Quickbooks with I.T.S.

What are the system requirements?
I.T.S. needs to run on the English version of Windows XP or higher with 512MB of memory. The processor speed should be at least 2.0GHZ or higher.

How much memory should I have?
The software requires that the computer have at least 512MB of memory. For even better performance 1GB or more is recommended.

I get an invalid print specified error when I try to print a report.
This typically means that no printers are installed on the workstation where the program is running. Install a printer on that workstation and try again.

How does the backup utility work?
SQL server is always running to handle any requests for information. Most backup programs will not backup a running SQL server since the files is in use during the backup. Some backup programs offer agents that will backup a SQL server but they are only available as an extra option at additional cost. The I.T.S. software has it's own agent that will allow your backup the SQL server. Then you can use your regular backup program to place the backup file from your hard drive to a removable media device such as tape, CD or DVD.

What files does the backup utility save?
The backup utility is designed to only backup the data stored in the MSDE Microsoft SQL server. The application and the SQL server program itself is not saved on the backup provided by I.T.S. Tech support recommends you reinstall the SQL server and I.T.S. software from the original medial and then restore your data.

How do I restore a backup?
The restore utilities is installed, but not available as an icon. If you look in the directory that the program was installed into, the restore utility is available there. An icon is not available to prevent end-users from easily loosing data.

Yes, simply use the print preview button and you can view the invoices to see if any changes are needed.

Why does I.T.S. use SQL server instead of the other databases used by other trucking software?
I.T.S. uses SQL server because it is superior to other solutions for the following reasons:

- Connectivity - Allows for remote connectivity from multiple locations.
- Backups - Allows for automated tasks such as nightly backups and even online backups.

What is your upgrade policy?
Purchasing a license copy of I.T.S. will allow you to get FREE phone support and upgrades for one year from date of purchase. After one year you can continue getting phone support and upgrades by subscribing on to a monthly maintenance program. Phone support is also available on per incident basis and upgrades are available on per upgrade price if a maintenance program is not desired.

How do I install the Intelligent Trucking Solution demo?
- Check that you have a high speed internet connection. Because ITS is a robust server application, it is a large download. If you are not able to download this file, please call us to request a free CD.
- Click the "Downloads" button on the left side of the web page.
- On the bottom of the download page, click on "Click to request".
- Fill out the required information about your company.
- Click the "Submit" button.
- On the bottom of the next page click the link "demo".
- You will be prompted to save the file. Click "Save" and select a directory you will remember (preferably your desktop).
- After the file has finished downloading, go to the directory that you saved the setup file in, and double-click on "itssetup.exe".
- Follow the installation instructions, and you're ready to go!

I uninstalled an older version of Intelligent Trucking Solution and now I cannot reinstall the newer version.
Once you update the I.T.S. program the uninstall program Add/Remove program will no longer work completely. The backups and updates add new modules that are not known by the Add/Remove program. Thus the program is not completely removed from your system. To finish the uninstall, go to Windows Explorer and look for a folder under Program Files called Aperion. Rename the Aperion folder to Aperion1 and try the install again. This had been reported to engineering and they are working on a solution that will use Add/Remove programs.

When I try install I.T.S. I get the following error:
"Error 1931. The Windows Installer service cannot update the system file ... xpsp2res.dll because it is protected by Windows."
This error occurs when you try to install I.T.S. on a non-English version of Windows.
I.T.S. requires the English version of Microsoft Windows.

Does Intelligent Trucking Solution work with dot-matrix or inkjet printers?
Yes, ITS works with laser, inkjet and dot-matrix printers. Printing is handled through standard Windows print drivers. So, if you printer has an installed print driver, it should work with ITS.
Additionally, because ITS allows you to use low cost plain paper (instead of costly pre-printed forms), plain text printers are not supported.

Will Intelligent Trucking Solution work on Microsoft Vista?
Yes, ITS has been successfully installed and tested on the Microsoft Vista operating system. We are awaiting our Microsoft certification, so the "Vista Ready" logo is not yet displayed on our website or on our packaging.

What is the ITS icon in the system tray used for?
The icon in the system tray (lower right corner of the desktop, near the clock) is the ITS SERVER. It is a required component for managing the database transactions. This application should be left alone unless you are directed to access it by an ITS Support Technician.

What happens if I shutdown the ITS SERVER?
Why does ITS prompt for a server name when I start the ITS program?
If the ITS SERVER application is closed, the ITS software will be unable to communicate with its database and will prompt you for the IP address of the database server. This allows ITS to communicate with a central database if multiple workstations are using ITS. If the ITS SERVER is accidentally closed, it will automatically restart when the system is rebooted.

Can I use I.T.S. internationally?
No, I.T.S. is only authorized for use in North America (USA, Canada, Mexico) and requires the English version of Windows.
